Abstract

The article deals with complex sentences being analysed from the point of OE syntax. In OE there are many complex sentence types which are roughly equivalent to PDE coordinate and subordinate clauses. However, in some cases evidence for syntactic as opposed to semantic subordination is not as apparent as in PDE.
