Таким чином, в число А- позицій потрапляють базові позиції внутрішніх аргументів (internal arguments) дієслова, які породжуються всередині дієслівної групи і позиції зовнішнього аргументна (external argument) в SpecIP. А-пересув (argument movement) – пересув конституента речення до А-позицій (позицій підмета та додатка дієслова, що отримують тета ролі), під час якого елемент, що пересувається не має змоги проминути А-позицію.
