Ю.КондратюкauthorУ цій статті аналізуються особливості виникнення лексичних лакун, безеквівалентної і фонової лексики в українській і російській мовах, досліджується етимологія лексичних лакун у цих мовах та розглядаються шляхи їх перекладу на англійську мову із врахуванням особливостей варіанту та інваріанту локальної культури українського та російського етносів. Обґрунтовано, що при перекладі лексичних лакун, безеквівалентної і фонової лексики треба звертатися до описового перекладу і тлумачення цих лексем, до креолізмів, завдяки чому читач отримує уяву про особливості побуту народу.P Philology.
