Акцентовано увагу на тому, що перехід до компетентнісно орієнтованої освіти потребує від учителя швидкої адаптації до реальних умов діяльності, а його функції набувають ширшого змісту. Функції управління навчально- пізнавальною діяльністю школярів розглянуто як зміст процесу управління, спрямований на взаємодію усіх суб’єктів управління, мотивацію й цільову орієнтацію їх діяльності з досягнення запланованого результату, визначено їх класифікацію та зміст на основі компетентнісного підходу до навчання.
