At the end of XIX ? at the beginning of the ?? century were created favorable conditions for psychological development of the problem of the talent. Its methodological basis was the decision of the mind-body problem and the problem of correlation between hereditary and acquired in the structure of the personality. The reasons for the development of the talent were identified in connection with the properties of the temperament and the character development. A key element of the character was the intellect as the regulation component of the total development of the personality and activities of the subject. The problem of the interaction of mind with the other components of the personality structure determines the degree of giftedness.
