Kovtun N. Correlation of God Veles Image with the Cultural Hero Archetype in Ukrainian Spiritual Tradition. On the basis of Ukrainian spiritual tradition analysis correlation of pre-christian god Veles with the cultural hero archetype is analyzed. Creative function in the cultural hero activity is examined within transformative activity of Veles (cattle breeding settlement, wealth protection). Simultaneously sacred function in the cultural hero activity is examined by means of analysis of Veles? protection of arts, magic activity (volhv?s activity), medicine.
