Abstract

During the 15th − 18th centuries, the period of direct neighbourhood of Ukrainian lands and Crimean Khanate, mutual migrations of the Ukrainians and the Tatars took place as a result of the captivity system, soldiery necessities, and was fulfilled in a voluntarily way. In the 16th − at the beginning of 17th century, when Turkish-Tatar aggression in Ukraine arrives at an apogee, the considerable part of the Tatars in battles with a local population, cossacks and polish army, perished and were taken as prisoners
