The article highlights the notion of professional competence of the teacher of informatics and preparation of future informatics teacher for the introduction of personality-oriented technologies and their close interconnection. The attention is paid to the importance and peculiarities of the teaching process organization in the higher educational establishment with the employment of personality-oriented technologies and also to the main characteristics and requirements of the personality-oriented lesson at school.
