Modern Teaching Methods for Morphological Disciplines in Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine Under Martial Law

This article explores modern teaching methodologies for morphological disciplines, such as cytology, histology, and embryology, in Ukrainian higher education institutions under the conditions of martial law. The author highlights the necessity of adapting medical and biological education to ongoing security challenges while overcoming declining student interest caused by complex curriculum requirements and traditional, outdated instructional methods.

The paper outlines key strategies for pedagogical transformation, including the implementation of flexible blended learning formats through synchronous and asynchronous online platforms, screen casting, and the "flipped classroom" approach. Furthermore, it emphasizes integrating traditional light microscopy with digital microscopy, virtual histology laboratories, and open-access online atlases, alongside leveraging specialized Learning Management Systems (LMS) to personalize instruction and streamline student assessment.
