Language norm and variability in the process of Modern English development

Language as integral systemic phenomenon is understood from the fact of its complex system that combines different multi-element subsystems, characterized, on the one hand, by standardization, obligatory correctness, accuracy, logicality, regularity, simplicity and suitability, and on the other hand – reflect the search for adequate means of linguistic expression in the process of restructuring the segments of the language system.
