Abstract
The style of the work and behavior of the party officials of the highest rank on the territory
of the western regions of Ukraine in the early postwar years is characterized. The description
is given in terms of the particularly historical conditions of their professional development
in an administrative-command system. The special attention is paid to both direct and indirect
methods of the state to force the nomenclature party officials to violence.
