Abstract
There is a number of well-known and hard-working artists in
Polissya region. Even during the Soviet era, frescoes were painted, mosaics were laid
out and tapestries were woven. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about those
painters who started painting in Zhytomyr during the 19th and 20th centuries.
