Abstract

This article highlights the essential role of foreign language educators in developing multicultural competence among future medical professionals in the context of globalization. The authors emphasize that integrating multicultural elements into language curricula—such as analyzing medical terminology across cultures, using authentic materials, and conducting intercultural role-playing simulations—prepares students for tolerant, patient-centered healthcare delivery. By building socio-cultural knowledge, promoting tolerance, and cultivating skills for constructive intercultural dialogue, foreign language instruction equips healthcare specialists to navigate globalized, culturally diverse environments effectively.
