Abstract

Eschatological way of perceiving reality remains an important factor in the existence of modern man in a post-industrial society. In recent decades, the idea of the end of the world has been widely exploited in the nonreligious sphere, especially in fiction and popular films. The article deals with the study the Biblical motive of the post-apocalyptic city in the artistic practices of post-industrial society; particularly in popular films; identification of the essential features of the urban space of the post-apocalyptic future.
