Abstract
The paper explores how artificial intelligence can serve as a practical “co-teacher” to reduce educators’ workload, particularly in lesson planning, material design, and feedback generation. The author analyzes several user-friendly AI tools (MagicSchool AI, Eduaide.AI, LessonUp, and Brisk Teaching) that help teachers quickly create drafts of lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, rubrics, and interactive activities. While these tools significantly save time and lower cognitive load, the paper emphasizes that AI-generated content should be treated as drafts rather than final products. Key challenges include the risk of over-reliance, loss of teacher creativity, and ethical concerns such as data privacy. The author stresses the importance of developing AI literacy and using AI selectively as a supportive assistant, while keeping pedagogical decisions, adaptation to learners, and final refinement under teacher control. The conclusion highlights that the real value of AI lies not in automation itself, but in freeing teachers to focus on meaningful interaction with students.
