Test-Based Assessment in the Educational Process

The article examines the role of test-based assessment in the educational process of higher education students. The author highlights the advantages of testing over traditional oral questioning, including objectivity, uniform conditions, and the possibility of statistical analysis of results. Computer-based testing (e.g., via Google Forms) is presented as an effective tool for pedagogical diagnostics, enabling the identification of knowledge gaps, common errors, and individual learning patterns. Systematic testing creates a motivational framework that encourages regular preparation. Test items must meet the requirements of reliability, validity, and objectivity. Computer-based testing performs diagnostic, instructional, and discipline-building functions, while also serving as a means of evaluating the effectiveness of teaching strategies.
